Belmihoub, a doctoral student studying rhetoric, writing and culture, said, “Events like ‘Pizza with Aliens’ allow the NDSU community to get to know and connect with foreign-born residents that go to our campus and live in our shared community. Attendees will get an opportunity to have a friendly critical conversation with students, faculty and staff from foreign countries, as well as Americans who work with diverse populations.”
Tahmasebi Nasab, who is a doctoral student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, said, “Rapid social and technological advances have facilitated communication among different parts of the world with different cultures. However, as a community, we need to be prepared to function in a diverse society. We hope that our discussion initiates more conversation on cultural diversity and related issues.” More information...
