The NDSU Department of Communication is hosting COMM Day. All events are free to the public. Please share with anyone who might be interested in attending.

Communication Professional Panel
Panelists will discuss how to sell a communication degree to employers and how their communication degrees have helped them find career success. Panelists will include: Kathy Coyle (USDA), Teri Winkelman (Essentia Health), Annie Wood (Emerging Prairie), Danielle Teigen (The Forum), Brad Clemenson (NDSU) and Michael Olsen (communications consultant).
10:30 a.m. – noon
Communication Connections Meet and Greet
Learn about the majors, programs and organizations affiliated with the communication department. Get connected with faculty, students, alumni and friends to find out more about clubs, academics and internship opportunities.

The Life of a Grad Student: From Ramen to Habermas
Find out what it’s like to be a graduate student (taking classes, a GTAship and research). Learn about our graduate program from the perspective of our panel of four current graduate students.
2:30 – 4 p.m.
Faculty Research Lightning Round
Listen as four faculty discuss their diverse research in communication. The session also will focus on educating future graduate students about academic research and scholarship. Panelists will include: Stephenson Beck (Organizational Communication: Small Group Communication), Catherine Kingsley Westerman (Organizational Communication: Organizational Relationships and Friendships), Nan Yu (Media, Culture and Society: Health Communication) and Robert Mejia (Media, Culture and Society: Game Studies and Technology).
